Bridgerton: Season 3 | Rotten Tomatoes (2024)

85% Tomatometer 67 Reviews 74% Audience Score 1,000+ Ratings Bridgerton follows Daphne Bridgerton (Phoebe Dynevor), the eldest daughter of the powerful Bridgerton family as she makes her debut onto Regency London’s competitive marriage market. Hoping to follow in her parent’s footsteps and find a match sparked by true love, Daphne’s prospects initially seem to be unrivaled. But as her older brother begins to rule out her potential suitors, the high society scandal sheet written by the mysterious Lady Whistledown casts aspersions on Daphne. Enter the highly desirable and rebellious Duke of Hastings (Regé-Jean Page), committed bachelor and the catch of the season for the debutantes’ mamas. Despite proclaiming that they want nothing the other has to offer, their attraction is undeniable and sparks fly as they find themselves engaged in an increasing battle of wits while navigating society’s expectations for their future. Bridgerton: Season 3 | Rotten Tomatoes (1) Lauren Sarner New York Post Overall, the second half of Season 3 is packed with juicy drama, and it remains addictively watchable. Jun 14, 2024 Full Review Bridgerton: Season 3 | Rotten Tomatoes (2) Nell Geraets The Age (Australia) The second half of the season is packed with everything but the kitchen sink... But all of that fails to distract us from the fact that it’s missing the thing Bridgerton does best: the chase. Rated: 3/5 Jun 14, 2024 Full Review Bridgerton: Season 3 | Rotten Tomatoes (3) Katie Rosseinsky London Evening Standard The two powerhouse performers make this a friendship worth rooting for. Elsewhere, though, the drama is underwritten, and too much narrative space is given to flimsy plot lines that are hard to engage with. Rated: 3/5 Jun 13, 2024 Full Review Bridgerton: Season 3 | Rotten Tomatoes (4) Simon Gallagher Screen Rant Bridgerton season 3 part 2 adds complexity, depth and a wonderful pay-off to one of TV's best romances. Rated: 4.5/5 Jun 13, 2024 Full Review Bridgerton: Season 3 | Rotten Tomatoes (5) Mini Anthikad-Chhibber The Hindu The raunchy Regency romance returns, strong and bingeable as ever, with amazing music and fashion — Queen Charlotte’s hair gets an extra special mention Jun 9, 2024 Full Review Bridgerton: Season 3 | Rotten Tomatoes (6) Tom Gliatto People Magazine Part 1 feels more snuggly and romantically conventional, which might be just what you need as you recover from fellow Netflix hit Baby Reindeer. This is also, more or less, the approach that the material demands. Jun 6, 2024 Full Review Read all reviews

Anita B A beautiful holiday among the ton, my favourite season ! Rated 5/5 Stars • Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/14/24 Full Review Susell M Very boring season 3. Chemistry was lacking and plot twists were too expected. Rated 1/5 Stars • Rated 1 out of 5 stars 06/14/24 Full Review Ale F The marketing and PR where better than the actual season. They high it up too much for what it really was. The first part was okay, the second part went downhill, specially with Colin and Penelope relationship. I’m someone who has read the books, and although I know it was not going to be the same, the changes were disastrous. The actors have much more chemistry on press tour than with their characters towards each other. I enjoyed Benedict’s story with Lady Tilly even more than the story of the lead characters, which is a shame, they are one of my favorite couples of the 8 books. I saw more passion and love with Anthony and Kate in the couple of scenes they had than with Colin and Penelope. The spin they gave Colin’s character was horrendous as well, he was useless all the second part, only drowning in his sorrows and making things worse with all the Lady Whistledown issue. And even before he found out about it, all that anger and longing of the first part because he was “madly in love with her” was no where to be seen. I would go as far as to say he didn’t actually love her by the way everything was written. Penelope’s character was also downgraded, she was too submissive and didn’t stand for herself towards Colin, she showed more fire in season 2 when Eloise discover her, and that was nowhere to be seen. She is one of my favorite characters in the books by the way she defends her work and explain why she started it, specially towards Colin. I would have give it 1 star if it wasn’t for the first part that was okay, like I said. But if it were for only the second part I would give it a solid 1 star. Rated 2/5 Stars • Rated 2 out of 5 stars 06/14/24 Full Review Audience Member Honestly, thought Colin was a real jerk. He’s supposed to be the kind selfless one, but he continues to do things that I think are really selfish. I mean every season ends with him taking a world tour trip. And how many prostitutes does he sleep with. If anything I think Benedict is the nice one (slu*tty, but nice 😉). Ben’s the one always making time for Gregory and hyacinth. Part 2 Colin was even worse. No one made him sleep with Penelope before their wedding. That was all his idea. Then to be passive aggressive Towards her! Now I loved Francesca and John 🥰 That is the romance I’m here for. For a show called Bridgerton we’re slowly losing all of them. I feel like by the time we get to Gregory story it’s just gonna be him and Violet. We haven’t seen Daphne and Simon in ages. Kate and Anthony are moving. Still worth a watch, but it doesn’t have the same excitement I felt with previous seasons. Rated 3/5 Stars • Rated 3 out of 5 stars 06/14/24 Full Review Linda B Such beautiful complex main characters, they brought us on an emotional rollercoaster that had me frustrated, jumping for joy, captivated, angry, heartbroken and totally enraptured. Well done Nicola and Luke for such beautiful authentic work. I will say to really feel the dept of their acting and character growth, rewatch are needed and worth it. Rated 5/5 Stars • Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/14/24 Full Review Felicity B It takes courage to twist and turn from the Bridgerton books, especially with such devoted and somewhat crazy fandom, but hats off to Shondaland for Benedict's and Francia's storyline, I look forward to their seasons. I throughly enjoyed this season 3, congrats to all involved. Rated 5/5 Stars • Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/14/24 Full Review Read all reviews
